Our music team is unique because on most Sundays, our worship offers a blend of both “contemporary” and “traditional” music offered by committed, talented musicians and choir/singers. The traditional music is typically played on the organ, and led by the choir, while the contemporary music is offered by New Song, with electric piano, acoustic guitar, hand drum and led by singers. All of our 13 vocalists (and one budding 5 year old) sing all songs of praise / hymns; often, all instruments are used in one piece of music. New Song is a worship group that originated from the former St. Luke’s as an alternative to choral hymn book music accompanied by the organ. But now we have both!
During COVID-19, our pianist and guitar player (wife and husband) have been recording a number of instrumental pieces for our Sunday on-line worship.
