Gathering Table is a member of the Anglican Church of Canada (ACC). Our beliefs are articulated well on the ACC website: https://www.anglican.ca/about/beliefs/
Within the ACC, Gathering Table is a “big tent” for all those:
- Who are seeking to encounter the beloved
- Who are on their journey of being Christ’s apprentices,
- Who are seeking genuine community, and
- Who wish to serve.
Perhaps our statement about receiving Holy Communion sums it up nicely:
This is the table of Christ made ready for those who love him and for those who want to love him more. So come, whether you have much faith or little, have tried to follow or afraid you have failed. Come because it is Christ’s will that those who want to meet him, might meet him here. Our tradition says that to receive any part of the Eucharist is to receive the full grace of the Sacrament.
